In ASW, students will be asked to fill out a form about their behavior. The form is for documentation. Teachers will call parents when the form is filled out to let them know about the behavior incident.
Behavior Slip
In order to best manage our class, if students break the school code they will be asked to stay in at recess time to fill out a behavior slip that will help them to reflect on the habits that promote learning. It will also offer a time for a child to talk privately with the teacher about what is happening during class time without interrupting instructional time devoted to learning. When a child has filled out a behavior slip they will bring it home and ask a parent to sign it. I will also follow up this meeting with a brief phone call home to parents to explain. This ensures that parents are also aware of problems and therefore able to talk with their child about their choices.
